Find times throughout your day to pay close attention to your senses. Wake them up with the daily practice of sensing your way through your day. What do you smell? Hear? Taste? See? Feel?
Our bodies are meant to MOVE!! Be intentional about how you move your body. Do you take the stairs? Are you moving slowly? Or do you rush through the journey? Connect each movement with a positive thought and watch your ability to focus increase!
The practice of nature journaling is one that can bring a stronger sense of awareness to our surroundings. Through observation and exploration, we allow our minds to drift... to wonder, and to be curious about what is around us. When we hone in on one specific area, we become deeply connected.
Breathe in. Breathe out. Count your breath. Pay attention to how it feels. Is it cold inside your nostrils when you breathe in? And warm when you breathe out? Be amazed at what our bodies are doing without us having to think about doing them!
Make time in your days to wander somewhere...or to wonder about things around you. The excitement within each of us emerges when we are given the chance to be free in our minds and our bodies.
Practice gratitude daily. Start a journal and write down 3-5 things you are grateful for each day. Tell people in your life what you are grateful for...share your gratitude with those around you. There can never be too much gratitude in this world.
Relax. Unwind. Listen to the quiet sound of rain in the forest. Breathe in. Breathe out.
Take 1 minute to listen to the sounds of the forest in New England, breathe deep and slow and relax your whole body.
Sit and watch the puffy white clouds drift through the bright blue sky. Take time for you today. Breathe in. Breathe out.
One minute...just one minute of intentional breathing, slowly inhaling, deeply exhaling. Listen to the sounds. Breathe in. Breathe out.
